Indoor Saturday morning football training for youngters age 4 / 5 / 6 year old is to start next week 7th November.

We have two junior age groups involved in the the County Cup competitions -  at Under 13s and Under 16s level.  The first round is scheduled for Sunday 13th September 2009 - click on the following links for a full list of fixtures:-

Just thought I would let you all know that the U18 A side sent 6 boys to the Northern trial at Manchester Friday for Sky's soon to be screened "Football's next Star"....the winner gets a contract with Inter Milan!!!

 The 6 Boys were:

Kinglsey Lewin
Tangi
Joe Littlewood
Luke Webster(Webbo)
Alex Torr
Richard Tootle(Toots)

Watched by Inter Milan coaches the boys were put through their paces in a
series of drills , assessing various abilities.

All six boys were a credit to the club in attitude and ability.

Out of the 200+ players today 3 of our boys made it to the top 20 in the
North Of England.

The three players are just starting their first season with Handsworth- and
to make it into the top 20 was a great achievement- no other team had more
than us represented in the top 20 .....the closest was Birmingham City
academy with 2 players!!

Special mentions go to Toots and Alex Torr who were the youngest players to
trial but still made it into the top 20. 

Luke Webster Scored the goal of the day - lets hope it makes the final
edit!!

At the end of the day, unfortunately our guys just missed out on a place in
the final....only one boy was chosen to go through to the final.

A proud day for the U18 A side.....well done lads.
