Hazy … A few words

Following the conclusion of our U18 Ambers season we say thank you and goodbye to gaffer Shaun Hayes …

His departure marks the end of an era , as he oversaw the journey from U7 to U18 , we thank Hazy and Barts for all they have done for the lads over the last 12 years , some of whom have played at every age group from 7’s to 18’s … we will thank them all formally at their presentation evening but for now , Hazy’s emotional Facebook post says it all … thank you to Hazy , Barts ( Nick Barton) and their squad .

“We have now played mine and the little mens final game in junior football representing the finest club in the Steel City from U7s to U18s for the past 12 years at Handsworth FC.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch the lads grow into mighty fine young men over the years and jeeze what a team we have had down the years consistently in the best handful of teams in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire for over a decade was some achievement .

Huge thanks to all the lads past and present, the parents and of course the main man that made everything tick the legend that is Barts.

Its been a blast fellas
